FOUNDATIONS OF COGNITIVE HEALTH

A 6-month group program designed to optimize brain health and prevent cognitive decline and early Alzheimer’s

BEGINNING APRIL 7TH

The fear of Alzheimer’s is real, but the condition is not inevitable.

You’ve watched it unfold in someone you love: the small slips, like forgetting where the keys were or mixing up names, that turned into bigger losses, like blanking on familiar faces or forgetting how to do the things they once loved.

You remember their frustration—searching for the right word or feeling lost on a drive they once knew by heart—and the heartbreak of seeing their confidence fade into anxious fear every time they realized something was slipping away.

Maybe it was your mom calling you three times in one day asking for a reminder on how to make pasta, or your dad’s personality slowly shifting in a way that makes you both feel like strangers to each other.

And now, you’re left wondering: Am I a ticking time bomb?

The fear can feel relentless, pulling you into a cycle of thoughts you can’t seem to escape: “Should I get tested?” “Do I really want to know?” All while the words from the doctor—“there’s nothing you can do”—linger, heavy and final.

This doesn’t have to be your story.

New research is proving there’s another way–one where prevention is possible, and Alzheimer’s can be a rare disease.

THE RESEARCH

A clinical trial, done by Dr. Dale Bredesen and published in the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease, revolutionized Alzheimer’s treatment when it showed that 84% of participants demonstrated an improvement in cognitive markers.

For the first time in history, Alzheimer's disease can be treated through seven distinct, science-backed strategies.

A REVOLUTIONARY APPROACH

Since 2014, the ReCODE Protocol has offered a revolutionary approach to reversing and preventing cognitive decline. Backed by results from over 6,000 participants, this multi-faceted program has been shown to outperform traditional drug therapies.

In a 2022 study, 84% of participants with SCI, MCI, or AD improved their cognition.

Unlike one-size-fits-all treatments, ReCODE takes a personalized, precision, root-cause approach, addressing the specific factors driving cognitive decline in each individual. Over the last few years, Dr. Bredesen and his team introduced the PreCODE protocol to focus specifically on prevention of cognitive decline.

The PreCODE/ReCODE protocol addresses cognitive decline as a multifactorial condition influenced by genetic, lifestyle, and environmental factors. Unlike traditional treatments that target symptoms, PreCODE/ReCODE seeks to identify and address the root causes of decline through personalized interventions.

This approach not only mitigates the progression of neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s but also promotes long-term brain health, offering hope where conventional treatments often fall short.

Quote from Scott Blossom

“You don’t need brain health goals.

You need a method to reach them.”

It’s not a what. It’s a how.

Identifying your health goals through research alone isn’t enough. We offer you a methodical, personalized strategy to make the protocol work in your real, everyday life. That’s where our Foundations of Cognitive Health program comes in to support you.

Scott and the Doctor Blossom team have combined Dr. Bredesen’s PreCODE protocol, focused on the prevention of cognitive decline, with 25+ years of clinical practice in Āyurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and yoga to offer you this uniquely innovative program: Foundations of Cognitive Health.

Alzheimer’s is now optional.

What people say about Doctor Blossom programs

  • “It has been a long time since I have been in the presence of someone so masterful at their subject and their capacity to hold space. I was struggling with some health things [during the course], but the power of that group really held me . . . there was a real maturity there."

    Susan McNamara

  • I love that Scott really explains why we are doing what we're doing, its effects and keeping our focus contained during practice. He has a way of holding us steady, not wavering. Except with a little humor when we are suffering!

    Patricia P. Jiron

  • Scott is a master. The depth of his insight and awareness of the subtleties of the body, and his ability to convey these in a way that I can directly experience (wow!), is beyond any other teacher I've ever experienced. His relaxed, easy-going, non-dogmatic manner belies a deep mastery and rigor on the areas of study he shares. The only drawback is that he has spoiled me for working with anyone else, ha!

The 4 Stages of Cognitive Decline

If you’re in the Pre-Symptomatic, SCI, or MCI stage, Foundations is the right first step.

Begins as early as 30 years old

  • No noticeable symptoms

  • Advanced tests can reveal early markers

  • Focus on prevention through lifestyle and addressing metabolic and toxicity factors

Pre-Symptomatic

Subjective Cognitive Impairment (SCI)

Often begins in midlife (40s-50s)

  • May notice subtle cognitive changes

  • Standard cognitive tests still place you as “normal”

  • This phase can last a decade

Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI)

Often occurs between 50s-70s

  • Memory loss and trouble with language and judgment, doesn't affect daily activities

  • Awareness that memory or mental ability has changed

  • Family and close friends also may notice changes

  • Increased risk of developing dementia or other brain conditions

  • For some people with mild cognitive impairment, symptoms might never get worse or even get better

Alzheimer’s Dementia

Most common in individuals 65+

  • Daily activities are impaired

  • Brain has sustained extensive damage

  • Significant cognitive decline

  • Late stage of disease that needs urgent attention

About Scott Blossom

Scott’s personal journey into brain health was inspired by the loss of his mother to Alzheimer’s in 2020. What started as subtle changes in her decision-making and organization eventually led to a diagnosis of Ophthalmic Alzheimer’s. He and his twin brother cared for her at home, witnessing firsthand the emotional, physical, and financial toll of the disease. This deeply personal experience led him to explore not only the scientific causes of cognitive decline but also holistic ways to prevent and reverse its effects.

Scott has integrated Traditional Chinese (TCM), Āyurveda, Yoga somatics, and evidence-based nutrition into his clinical practice and educational offerings for more than 25 years. Experience has taught him that the one secret to health is not a what, not a product or a specific practice, but how to adapt whatever you are doing so it remains potent and agile through the days and seasons of your life.

With nearly three decades of experience in holistic health, Scott has guided thousands of clients toward better well-being by blending the wisdom of Āyurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and yoga with modern neuroscience.

Scott has trained in Dr. Dale Bredesen’s cutting-edge ReCODE protocol, which has shown cognitive improvements in 84% of participants in clinical trials. With the combined power of modern medicine–through lab testing, precision medicine, and recent research–and ancient, holistic modalities–Āyurveda, TCM, and Yoga, Scott is changing the narrative around what’s possible with cognitive decline.

A Note from Scott

As kids, we all learn to recognize the early signs of common illnesses—a stuffy nose or sore throat means it’s time to rest and take medicine. But with cognitive decline and Alzheimer’s Disease, the problem is insidious. You don’t feel the changes happening in your brain for 20 years or more. By the time symptoms like memory loss or confusion appear, the disease is often advanced, making treatment much more difficult—or even impossible.

You don’t have to gamble with your brain’s future. Prevention is a path of empowerment, offering you the chance to avoid the devastating impacts of cognitive decline. Join a growing community of people who are taking charge of their brain health with the PreCODE/ReCODE Protocols—a proven, personalized program that’s changing lives and rewriting the narrative around Alzheimer’s.

Start today. Your brain will thank you.

  • Cohorts are kept small at only 20 people. Plus, you’ll get one-on-one support directly from Scott to go over your tests, refine your focus, and keep you on track.

  • We will support you in:

    • Determining which tests to take

    • Ordering necessary equipment (e.g. Glucose/Ketone monitoring devices, Blood Oximeter, ERMI test, etc.)

  • Scott’s background in biology, Chinese Medicine, Āyurveda, and Yoga combined with his ReCODE certification weave together to power the unique blend of holistic, medically-informed, and integrative protocols and support you’ll find inside this program.

Your Questions, Answered

  • Our signature program is a comprehensive process for determining your unique pathway to optimal cognitive health. Based on the revolutionary PreCODE Protocol for preventing and reversing cognitive decline, Foundations integrates the principles and practices of Āyurveda, TCM, and yoga, into a scientifically validated dietary and lifestyle protocol, along with a combination of laboratory and cognitive testing to identify the contributors to cognitive decline or risk for decline.

  • This program is for those who are concerned about memory loss or early signs of cognitive decline (in stages: Pre-Symptomatic, SCI, or MCI), and anyone who wants to take proactive steps to protect their brain health. If you’ve seen a loved one suffer from Alzheimer’s, or simply want to ensure you’re doing everything you can to maintain a sharp mind, this program is designed for you:

    • Pre-symptomatic Phase: No noticeable symptoms yet, but advanced tests like a PET scan or cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) analysis reveal early markers of neurodegeneration. This phase can last several years.

    • Subjective Cognitive Impairment (SCI): You start to notice memory lapses or slower thinking, but standard cognitive tests still place you in the “normal” range.  This phase can last a decade.

    • Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI): This misleadingly named stage represents significant cognitive decline, confirmed by both subjective symptoms and objective testing. Dr. Dale Bredesen compares this to being told you have “mildly metastatic cancer”—it’s a late stage of the disease process that deserves urgent attention.

  • If you have been diagnosed or have a loved one who has already been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Dementia, this program will not be a fit, as its focus is on prevention (PreCODE) of cognitive decline and Alzheimer’s. At present, Scott has not begun accepting ReCODE patients, so we recommend that you go to the Apollo Health website.

  • If you haven’t already, you’ll undergo a suite of lab tests necessary to create your PreCODE report. If you choose to use another route of testing, we will provide a list of the needed tests. This allows us to create a customized plan to optimize your brain function and prevent cognitive decline. We’re here to help you determine when and how to get your testing done.

  • The program is designed to be flexible and easy to integrate into your life. Each week, you get an email with guidance and resources plus three weeks a month we will have a "Question & Reflections Call" to dive deeper into the material and provide tips for integrating the protocol into your life. The program is structured so that you can make consistent progress without feeling overwhelmed. Expect to spend about 2 hours per week on the core activities.

  • Expect to see improvements in areas such as focus and concentration, learning abilities, memory making and storing, high-quality sleep and consistency, fitness and mindfulness, and coping mechanisms, especially in times of stress or strain. Based on Dr. Dale Bredesen’s research, which showed that 84% of participants’ cognition improved, we hope to see that the program can support overall wellbeing benefited by improved scores for fasting blood glucose, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (which measures inflammation in the body that is correlated with AD), HOMA-IR (an indicator of insulin resistance), and levels of vitamin D.

  • One of the most powerful aspects of this program is the intimate, supportive community. You’ll be part of a cohort of like-minded individuals who share similar goals and challenges. You’ll be encouraged to connect, ask questions, and support each other throughout the 6-month process. There’s also the opportunity for “buddy” support for additional accountability because the science is clear that this improves your chances of successfully integrating the protocol. We strongly encourage everyone to get support from a trusted friend, family member, or a Foundations community member. We value willingness to learn, community-based care, and mutual respect in our community spaces.

  • At this time, we have a specific enrollment period with a set start and end date for each cohort.

  • The investment for the Foundations of Cognitive Health program is $650 per month, totaling $3,900 for the full 6-month program. This includes 5 one-on-one consultations with Scott, the PreCODE protocol, PreCODE Report interpretation, weekly Question & Reflections Calls, a personalized dashboard to track real-time progress, and the comprehensive resources you need to support optimal brain health and overall wellbeing.

  • Yes, we offer two scholarship slots for individuals experiencing financial challenges, or from underrepresented and/or BIPOC communities. We are committed to creating an inclusive program that supports diversity and accessibility. Read our full statement on Solidarity here. For more information on our scholarships, please email info@doctorblossom.com.

  • Most treatments for cognitive decline focus on Stage 4: Alzheimer’s Disease, when the brain has already sustained extensive damage.  Often these options are limited primarily to drug therapies which can slow but do not cure the Alzheimer’s. This program is different because it’s all about prevention. This evidence-based, 6-month program uses the groundbreaking PreCODE Protocol, plus bloodwork, a powerful results dashboard, and expert guidance from Scott Blossom (25+ years of clinical practice in Āyurveda & TCM) to address the root causes of cognitive decline.

  • For the initial cohort, we’ll offer the lowest price available in exchange for receiving regular feedback from participants.
